Calling all Leicester City fans working or studying at DMU – we’d like your help to put together a new exhibition celebrating the origins of our favourite football team.
Next year, DMU Heritage Centre will mark the 100th anniversary of the club changing its name from Leicester Fosse FC to Leicester City in honour of Leicester being granted city status.
As part of the exhibition, Heritage Centre curator Elizabeth Wheelband wants to record videos of fans talking about the club – anything from the first match they went to, their favourite home game, best Filbert Street memory or where you were when Leicester City won the Premier League.
We want staff and students to be the first to contribute to what is sure to become a fascinating personal archive.
We’ll be setting up video sessions during lunchtimes at the Heritage Centre (in the Hawthorn Building) during December. If you’d like to get involved, please email heritage@dmu.ac.uk to arrange a time.
We look forward to hearing your stories!
