Meet the Global Partnerships Unit team
Lawrence D'Souza, Director of Global Partnerships
Lawrence D'Souza is a Director with responsibility for the Global Partnership Unit. The Global Partnership Unit is responsible for the development and management of TransNational Education (TNE) activity within DMU.
Lawrence joined DMU in May 2018. For over a decade he previously held various roles in Coventry University including Lecturer, Internationalisation Manager and Deputy Director for Academic Partnerships. While at Coventry he build TNE activity across the University Group.
He is an experienced strategic and results driven leader with over 13 years’ experience in developing academic partnerships across the world.
Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University and a MBA from Coventry University.

Kerry Harrison, Senior Partnerships Officer
Kerry Harrison is Senior Partnerships Officer within the Global Partnership Unit at DMU. Kerry has responsibility for the management and operation of the University’s transnational education partnerships and oversight of recruitment partnership arrangements.
Kerry joined DMU in 2009 and is a former DMU student having graduated with a first class honours degree in BA (Hons) Government, Management and Public Policy.

Poppy Denning, Global Partnerships Officer
Poppy Denning is a Global Partnerships Officer within the Global Partnership Unit at DMU.
Helping to co-ordinate the University’s engagement with transnational education (TNE) and overseas recruitment partnerships, her key areas include franchise arrangements and progression agreements.
Poppy joined DMU in August 2016 after graduating from the University of Leicester where she studied BA (Hons) English and American Studies.

Katie Warren, Global Partnerships Officer
Katie Warren is a Global Partnerships Officer within the Global Partnership Unit at DMU. Helping to co-ordinating the University’s engagement with transnational education (TNE) and overseas recruitment partnerships, her key areas include franchise arrangements and progression agreements.
Katie joined DMU in April 2018 and has worked in further and higher education within Academic Services and Registry Services.
Katie graduated from Nottingham Trent University where she studied BSc (Hons) Sports Science and Management.

Anna Batchelor, Global Partnerships Administrator
Anna Batchelor works as the Global Partnerships Administrator to provide administrative support to the Director of Global Partnerships and other members of the Global Partnerships Unit.
Amongst a variety of jobs, Anna is responsible for UK/EU and non UK travel arrangements and financial transaction record-keeping. Anna has been working in various administration roles for the past four years and before joining DMU.
Anna holds an MPhys Masters in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Kent and is currently undertaking her second MA alongside working.

Duncan Hepworth, Senior Partnerships Officer
Duncan Hepworth works as Senior Partnership Officer within the Global Partnership Unit and is responsible for the identification and development of new international partnerships.
Duncan has over 20 years’ experience within the education sector both in the UK and overseas and has been with DMU since December 2017.
Before working at DMU, Duncan has worked in international higher and secondary education recruitment with education institutions and recruitment agents around the world for over five years.

Adam Percival, Global Partnership Officer
Adam Percival is a Global Partnerships Officer within the Global Partnership Unit at DMU. Helping to co-ordinate the University’s engagement with overseas recruitment partnerships, his key areas include franchise arrangements and progression agreements.
Adam started working here in April 2018 after previously graduating from DMU in 2015 where he studied BA (Hons) English and Drama Studies followed by MA Arts.

Tom Duan, China Strategy Manager
Tom Duan works as Global Partnerships Strategy Manager and Project Manager for the China Joint School at Global Partnerships Unit.
He currently leads a team in establishing a joint school in China.
