Fantasy Football League launched to help DMU Square Mile India

Football fans can set up their Fantasy Premier League team and help a great cause by joining the DMU Square Mile league. For a £5 donation, you can support the DMU Square Mile India Fund and be in with a chance to take home the £100 prize pot.

The fund was set up to support the work of the Gandhi Ashram, helping children from some of the poorest families in the area.

So far books, medicine, school equipment and educational field trips have been bought thanks to the fund, which has also invested in more teachers.

If you’d like to support the Fantasy Football League, here’s how it works:

1.    Go to: https://fantasy.premierleague.com and register an account.
2.    Set up your team. You’ll need to choose 15 players up to the total value of £100m.
3.    Click on the Leagues tab > Create and Join new league > Join an existing league > Join a private league
4.    Enter the DMU Square Mile League pin: 469324-139849.

Entry on the official website is free but to join the DMU Square Mile league and be eligible for the cash prizes awarded you will need to pay £5 per team before 8pm on Monday 22 August. You can either pay in cash to Amir Mahmood or Josh Hargreaves  in the Chantry Building, or pay online by clicking here.

Once you have done this please email Sam Wright, community partnerships assistant.

Sam, who came up with the idea of running the Fantasy Football League for the cause, said: “This is a great opportunity to donate to the Square Mile India and be in with a chance to win £100 cash prize. 100% of entry fees will be donated to the DMU Square Mile India Fund.”
