Join the Institute for Arts, Design and Performance in DMU's PACE Building for a day dedicated to exploring how creativity such as performance, storytelling and other artistic practice can shape the way in which we understand the world around us.
The Creative Knowing Symposium brings together researchers from across disciplines to explore these alternative forms of knowledge and how they are created, shared and understood.

At a time when artificial intelligence, misinformation and rapidly changing technologies are challenging traditional ideas about expertise and truth, the symposium will consider what knowledge is, how we create it, and whether current academic definitions are too narrow.
The event aims to start a conversation across De Montfort University about the role of creative thinking and creative practice in research, with the longer-term ambition of developing a Centre for Creative Knowing and supporting future interdisciplinary research collaborations.
