Risk and desistance focused work have been presented as polar opposites, but this webinar will argue for a "blended approach" to risk and desistance focusing on how best to combine the best of each approach to safely reintegrate individuals into the community and support long-term risk management. Drawing on research and numerous publications Professor Kemshall will outline key steps and useful actions for practice, focusing on how to reconcile risk and desistance within a broader safer culture aimed at achieving both non-offending and public safety (Kemshall, 2021).
