Description

We are delighted to announce that De Montfort University’s third TEDx event will be taking place online in May this year.

This event will explore ideas around digital innovation and entrepreneurship in this unprecedented time of change and uncertainty. What lessons have been learned around digital and the new norm? What does the future of work look like? Where will AI make a difference and how can we all equip ourselves for what's ahead?

TEDxDeMontfortU: Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship is open to all DMU staff and students, our Leicester communities and the wider public. The full programme of speakers will be revealed via @DMUwEnterprise on Twitter closer to the event.

DMUworks Enterprise is De Montfort University's student and graduate enterprise team. They offer a range of services and events including 1-2-1 business support, an online Start-up School, Enterprise Placement Year, DMUGlobal Enterprise trips and competitions. TEDx was launched at DMU to help students, staff and alumni – as well as the local community – to develop entrepreneurial mindsets and to be inspired and motivated to take risks, make changes, and question the world around us.

TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities. These events are not controlled by TED, but event organizers agree to abide by our format, and are offered guidelines for curation, speaker coaching, event organizing and more.

Registrants will receive a link to join the online talk 24hrs before the event, via their provided email address.
