Description

Behavioural science provides a powerful way to deepen our understanding of the drivers of human behaviour. In doing so it provides simple, cost-effective ways to change behaviour in desirable ways. For instance, it can help businesses increase profits by better appreciating the needs of consumers. Similarly, it can be used to promote socially beneficial behaviours such as recycling and safer driving.

During the event we will introduce key theories of behaviour change and show how they can be applied in business, public policy and the third sector. The focus will be on providing practical tools and methods that you can use. We shall also discuss a range of examples of behaviour change in action.

Speakers include: Professor Edward Cartwright, who is an expert in behavioural economics and Director of the Institute for Applied Economics and Social Value; Anna Cartwright, who is an Associate Professor in Economics at Coventry University and will talk about a project with the Home Office applying behaviour change in cyber-security; Charlotte Brown, who is a consultant for The Behavioural Architects, a global insight, research and consultancy business.

This event will be of interest to business, public policy and the third sector. Behavioural science provides simple and effective ways to think through problems from a different perspective. This event will equip you with the practical tools needed to apply behavioural science and instigate change.
