International Women's Day

IWD all day celebrations in the DSU Atrium (refreshments provided):

  • Women's student employability breakfast panel (a chance to hear from and ask questions of a number of successful women in industry) (10am-12pm)
  • Launch of International Women's Day - working with #DMUlocal schools and DMU faculties to create and display a series of models of inspirational women, introduced by Mel Fowler, Associate Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Marketing and Communications (1-2pm)
  • Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media - 'BIG FAB FEMINIST QUIZ' (2-3.30pm) celebrating the wonder of women, will be taking place in the atrium.

Staff and students (of whatever gender) are welcome to participate. £1.00 per team (max of 6 per team), home-made cakes available, and donations of sanitary products accepted for the Period Dignity campaign Funds to go to Jasmine House Rape Crisis Centre. Come join us!

Role model events are also taking place in Health and Life Sciences in the Hawthorn Building Undercroft (10am-2pm) and Arts, Design and Humanities in the 4th Floor Fletcher Suite, Vijay Patel Building (12.30-1.30pm).
