The Doctoral College Lecture Series is a new monthly event to showcase the success and impact of DMU’s PhD researchers and celebrate their contributions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During each event, three of our PhD researchers from different Research Institutes will deliver a 10-minute speed lecture exploring how their research links to one of the SDGs.
These will be followed by an expert panel discussion and an audience Q&A.
Talks for the March lecture will range from masculinity within adaptations, gender rebellion and screen performance in British Cinema and exploring perceptions of reproductive timing within British South Asian communities.
The lectures are open to all students, staff and the general public. They’re free to attend but please reserve your place via Eventbrite. Networking opportunities and refreshments will be available.
