Description

The Doctoral College Lecture Series is a new monthly event to showcase the success and impact of DMU’s PhD researchers and celebrate their contributions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During each event, three of our PhD researchers from different Research Institutes will deliver a 10-minute speed lecture exploring how their research links to one of the SDGs.

These will be followed by a Q&A session with an expert panel consisting of DMU academic and research staff, including DMU’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Professor Rusi Jaspal.

Our launch takes place on Tuesday 19 February from 5.45-7.15pm in the Vijay Patel Building 4.09. it will be themed around SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and is titled ‘SDG 10 in 10 minutes’. The talks will range from sport history to quality television and policing.

The lectures are open to all students, staff and the general public. They’re free to attend but please reserve your place via Eventbrite. Networking opportunities and refreshments will be available.
