Personal profile

Arjab, or Archie as he is more affectionately known, is a proud product of De Montfort University, he obtained his BSc, MSc and PhD in 2009, 2011 and 2017, respectively. He is a showcase of what De Montfort can produce; a personification of the values and ethos of De Montfort.

Archie’s main research interests are with regards to Uncertainty Modelling, using predominately the notions of Fuzzy, Rough and Grey Theory, to better quantify the uncertainty that is prevalent in humanistic interactions.

Providing one with a more detailed understanding as to ‘how much of a difference’ exists, in perception and subjectivity when compared to that of varying permutations of comparisons, provides one with a more detailed understanding as to ‘why’ such divergences can be common place.

Archie is heavily involved with pedagogy; currently the Programme Leader for Intelligent Systems G50052; Module Leader for Fuzzy Logic and Knowledge Based Systems IMAT3406. The balance between teaching and research has allowed Archie to become a respected teaching fellow and academic.
