Personal profile

I have 7 years experience as a sales and marketing consultant working with a diverse range of organisations including Marks & Spencer, Reed Business Call, Age UK, Tetra Pak and Procter and Gamble. I have spent the last 21 years teaching in higher education, including marketing, advertising, consumer behaviour, international marketing and tutoring students on PG Certificate Teaching courses. I have delivered extensive conference papers around metaphors in advertising and enhancing student engagement, satisfaction and achievement.

Having delivered a number of papers to the Chartered Association of Business Schools Annual Learning & Teaching Conference I have been invited to deliver presentations on learning & teaching at Sheffield Hallam, Chichester, Winchester and most recently at the Teaching and Learning Conference of the Organisational Behaviour Teachers Society of America. My work in learning and teaching helped me achieve University Teaching Fellow status and more recently I have become a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
