Entry requirements for Chinese students

Foundation /
International Year Zero

 

Chinese Senior Secondary School Senior 2 with minimum 70% or Senior 3 with below 75% (for International Year Zero).

International Year Zero: IELTS 4.5 with pre-sessional English

Undergraduate

A-levels or a recognised Foundation Course.

 

Equivalent to Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE Standard (including BTEC and SQA HND Diploma) will be considered for second or third year entry, with a 75% average or GPA 2.

 

 

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide an IELTS certificate, or equivalent. Our undergraduate IELTS requirements are:

 

IELTS 6.0 for Art and Design, Business, Computing and Engineering courses

 

IELTS 6.5 for Law courses

 

IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Humanities and Media courses

 

IELTS 6.5-7.5 for Science courses

 

Postgraduate taught

A four year Chinese Bachelor’s degree with 70% for courses requiring a  2:2 classification, and 75% for courses requiring a 2:1 classification.

 

 

Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, work experience or require you to have a degree in a related field.

 

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide an IELTS certificate, or equivalent. Our postgraduate IELTS requirements are:

 

IELTS 6.0 for Business and Computing courses

 

IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Art, Design and Engineering courses

 

IELTS 6.5 for Humanities, Media, Law and Science courses
