Student and graduate internships
The Careers and Employability team runs a range of internship programmes each year and DMU is one of the leading institutions in the Midlands for delivering student and graduate internships.
Over 700 students and graduates have been placed on the Frontrunners and DMU Graduate Champions programmes by the Careers and Employability team over the last two years. These schemes are popular with students, graduates and employers and provide fantastic employability development opportunities.
The Frontrunners scheme provides internships that are both flexible around study commitments and focused on developing the key employability skills that graduate employers seek. Most Frontrunners internships are on campus with some provided by local employers just off site, to allow the flexibility in the working hours that is required by current students.
DMU Graduate Champions internships are short, intense opportunities for recent graduates to help provide the high quality work experience that employers seek. The aim of this scheme is to send DMU graduates in to the competitive labour market with the skills and experience expected of them, so that they are well placed to secure the graduate jobs they deserve.
The University also often offers funding to organisations looking to recruit our students and graduates. Eligibility criteria for these internship schemes vary, so please contact us to see if we do have any funding and if your company is eligible.
Graduate Champions is DMU’s latest scheme that looks to provide mutually beneficial opportunities for both organisations and our graduates.
