And now many of those new fans have said they are excited to be able to learn about the business of sport at De Montfort University Leicester’s (DMU) prestigious new business school – which is only a short walk from the home ground of their beloved Leicester City.

After winning the title last month, the Foxes toured Thailand, being greeted by millions of fans in Bangkok. And joining them out in the country was the Principal of the Leicester Castle Business School, Professor Dana Brown, who was keen to tell business leaders and potential students about the new school opening in the historic Grade-I listed Great Hall of Leicester Castle.

Professor Brown – the former Director of the MBA at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and key player in the formation of Amazon – travelled with Professor Dominic Shellard, Vice Chancellor of DMU, and James Gardner, Pro-Vice Chancellor for International.

DMU has a strong commitment to Thailand strengthened by its ongoing partnership with King Power and Leicester City.

“Everyone was interested to hear about DMU’s partnership with King Power and LCFC, and we emphasized its significance to us; our shared values and the opportunities it has created for our students and staff.”

“Students were pleased to learn about the strong commitment that we make to finding individual pathways for each student and supporting them through their studies and career planning.”

Professor Brown gave a presentation on the vision of the new business school and the opportunities for partnerships.

She said: “Many found our specialisation in entrepreneurship and the creative industries to be particularly interesting since these are areas of opportunity in Thailand.”
