Kelly Jordan joined the Drama team in 2006. Her main areas of interest are in Live Art and Contemporary Theatre. She is currently undertaking a research project that explores audience participation within contemporary performance practice.
Prior to teaching, Kelly has worked as a theatre director, establishing her own theatre company and staging performances at venues such as Hoxton Hall and the Ministry of Sound in London. She has also worked closely with several youth groups in Leicestershire. More recently she collaborated with Guillermo Gómez-Pena’s performance company La Pocha Nosta.
Kelly’s pedagogy draws on a range of experimental performance methodologies, underpinned with relevant performance theory.
