Leicester De Montfort Law School Applicant Taster Day activities - 14 March

An Applicant Taster Day is an unmissable opportunity to get hands-on with your chosen course. Tailored for DMU applicants and the course you've applied for, we'll be holding demonstrations, exercises and activities that give you a flavour of what you'll experience when studying here at DMU. Some sessions are subject to availability and have limited spaces, so we recommend booking early.

Below is a list of the activities running on the day for Law courses. Take a look at what's going on for the course you've applied for, then book your place on the form underneath.

  1. Law

    Land Law
Land Law is a subject which has traditionally struck fear into the hearts of law students up and down the country. With a reputation for procedural rigor, and a beguiling range of firm rules and indecipherable exceptions it is easy to see why so many preconceptions are negative. But do not be fooled! Behind the veneer of rules and procedure lies a topic which is uniquely vibrant and relevant to the daily lives of all who study it. In this session you will be invited to challenge your own thoughts about land, both as a legal subject, and as a practical reality in your life. You will discover that the story of land is nothing less than the story of how modern society and law were built.
