Policy Commission

Module code: POPP 3054

Module description

The Policy Commission takes the format of a supervised project‑based module where staff and students will work together to co‑produce a series of policy proposals in response to a contemporary political issue. During the module students will receive inputs on the policy‑making process, the issue under consideration as well as specific training in problem‑solving techniques, public engagement, events organisation and writing for policy makers. The practical nature of the activities involved in the policy commission mean that students will have the opportunity to design a research strategy, review current literature on the problem, collect research data, engage with stakeholders and produce a final report.
