Khudeja has more than 30 years of experience in leadership roles in finance, education and the voluntary sector. She has led diverse teams of professionals, implementing organisational change, spearheading equality and diversity agendas. The Shama Women’s Centre, based in Leicester, helps women from diverse communities overcome cultural, economic and language barriers. As CEO for the centre, Khudeja pioneered innovative mental health support programmes, improving outcomes in education, work and health inequalities. Khudeja is also an advocate for patients in the health service, through taking on a number of board lay roles within the NHS.
