Eileen Perry MBE DL

Pro-Chancellor

Eileen Perry MBE DL is a business leader with over 30 years' experience in the recruitment sector. She is the founder and managing director of ER Recruitment, which specialises in executive, board-level and C-suite recruitment across the UK.

Eileen has a long-standing relationship with De Montfort University and is passionate about developing talent and strengthening links between education, business and the wider community. As Pro-Chancellor, she brings extensive experience of the recruitment and business landscape, alongside a commitment to creating opportunities for students and graduates across the region through initiatives such as the award-winning BrightER Futures programme.

Alongside her role at DMU, Eileen is Vice-Chair of the Board of the East Midlands Chamber and Co-Chair of its Enterprising Women network. She is also a member of the advisory board of Women on Boards CIC and previously served as President of the East Midlands Chamber.

A strong supporter of her local community, Eileen was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Leicestershire in 2022 and has held a number of charitable roles. She is Patron of the Bodie Hodges Foundation, which supports families who have experienced the loss of a child, and has supported a range of charities and community initiatives through both her personal work and ER Recruitment.

Eileen was awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to female entrepreneurship, recognising her long-standing contribution to supporting women in business and creating opportunities for future generations.
