DMUactive

DMUactive is a FREE weekly recreational sport and fitness timetable that is open to all students at DMU. You can access any session you like as many times as you like, there's no ongoing commitment for those who just want to keep fit, play sport, try something new and look after their wellbeing. Whether you regularly participate in sport / fitness activity or have never taken part before, our sessions cater for all abilities and are led by our very helpful and friendly student leaders ("Activators")!

For all of our sessions, you'll need to wear some comfortable sports clothing and trainers. We provide all of the equipment you'll need, but if you have your own then please do feel free to bring it with you. 

 

Booking a session

To attend a DMUactive session, you must book on in advance using either the DMU Leisure app or DMU Leisure online booking system. This allows us to manage the number of people attending a session to ensure everyone present has a great experience and can remain safe throughout the session.

DMUactive Events

DMUactive also offers a range of free events that any student at DMU can get involved with. These events are a great way to meet new people or try something new with existing friends. From glow in the dark sports to charity and awareness-raising events, we make sure that being active at DMU is exciting and unique!

Looking for something more competitive?

Whilst DMUactive offers opportunities for students to just get involved in sport and activity, we know that some students like that extra competitive edge. The DMUsport Social Leagues Programme offers the chance for individuals or groups to enter fun, intramural competitive leagues in 5 different sports.
