On September 18, the Confucius Institute at De Montfort University participated in the first university Open Day of the new academic year.
The display of colorful Chinese cultural elements and the Chinese course leaflet attracted many visitors to stop and chat with us. Teachers from the Confucius Institute enthusiastically introduced Peking Opera facial makeup, craft fans, four treasures of the study, and Chinese knots with Chinese characteristics to visitors.
At the end of the day's activities, the introduction of multi-level Chinese courses, Tai Chi morning class, Chinese contemporary novel reading club and other series of promotional materials were all picked up. This open day enabled university teachers, students and local people to experience the diversity and richness of Chinese culture at close range, and to gain a better understanding of the Confucius Institute and its curriculum structure and activities.
