Meet our students
Recruitment fairs and employer events
Careers fairs and events are a great way for graduate and placement recruiters to meet our students. Careers fairs allow you to stand out from the many employers who are also trying to recruit for their graduate and placement roles. Many organisations use careers fairs as a chance to talent spot and fast-track students with potential through their application processes.
The fair is open to organisations of any size who are looking to recruit students or graduates.
Our next careers fair takes place between 11am and 3pm on Tuesday 3rd November 2020. Come along and network with your future employees.
Further information about the cost and what is included can be found on the booking forms. To book a stand using credit card, please click here. To pay using with an invoice, please click here
De Montfort University are one of a handful of universities in the UK to use the Career Fair Plus App. This enables students to view which employers are at the event and where in the venue they are. The organisation logo will also appear on the app with a link to their website to enable students to research into an organisation before they approach them.
For any questions about the fair or if you are looking to recruit students before the fair, please get in touch to discuss how we can support you firstname.lastname@example.org

We encourage businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to network and share ideas and contacts. To facilitate this, we run events throughout the year, in addition to supporting initiatives delivered by the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce and the Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).
If you are interested in attending a networking event on campus, complete the expression of interest form below and we will add you to our mailing list.
Presentations and workshops
We welcome employers to DMU for presentations, workshops and skills sessions. Students value hearing about your company first hand, which can in turn raise awareness of your recruitment campaigns.
In workshops and skills sessions you can help students with advice, role play and practical exercises.
- Arrange a venue on campus
- Provide audio-visual equipment
- Promote your talk to DMU students using a variety of channels and targeted publicity - to specific subjects or years of study, if required
- Arrange interview and briefing rooms
Presentations, workshops and skill session topics might include placement opportunities, CV writing, applying online, interview techniques, telephone interviews and assessment centres.
Please contact us and we will be happy to help you plan your event.
