Events designed to help businesses across Leicester and Leicestershire develop their staff, improve recruitment and nail the perfect pitch will be part of this year’s Leicester Business Festival.
De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) is the headline sponsor of the event, which is now in its sixth year and has helped put the area firmly in the national spotlight, attracting Government attention and investment in the city.
This year’s festival will be online, making it one of the UK’s biggest digital festivals with thousands of people set to attend events. The idea behind the LBF is that the events should benefit the local business community and people, by encouraging learning, sharing, interaction and engagement.
Helen Donnellan, Director of Enterprise and Business Services at DMU, said: "All of us have had to learn new ways of doing business since the pandemic and there’s so many good ideas to share.
"This year’s Leicester Business Festival provides us - the business community of Leicester and Leicestershire – with a unique opportunity to drive collaboration, share new learning and identify skills gaps in our organisations.
"Learning new skills and sharing best practice is the best way we have to equip ourselves and our employees for the challenges ahead. As one of the region’s top business schools, DMU can be part of that solution."
Richard Osborn, Director of the LBF Community Interest Company said: “We want to ensure that Leicester Business Festival's event programme really showcases the fantastic work that happens in Leicester and Leicestershire.”
