The specialist team has been short-listed in the Education Category, which looks for organisations, departments or individuals across the county that have made a real difference to educate and inspire.

LCBS’s Executive Education prides itself on providing professionals with a unique environment to maximise their learning through general and customised courses.

Executive Education courses focus on innovation, sustainability and social responsibility, and include the Executive MBA and Professional Coaching PG Certificate.

The team of academics and practitioners receive high praise for offering businesses learning solutions to address the challenges of the 21st century.

Louise Donaghy, Head of Business Development and Executive Education at LCBS, said: “I think it’s wonderful to be recognised for all that we offer to the Leicestershire business community.

“We have done a lot of work to build our brand and get the word out there and this shows we are doing things right.

“But not everyone is fully aware of everything we do yet, so there’s lots more to do to promote our reputation even further.”

Louise added that the Business School’s slogan was to ‘go beyond business as usual’ as they worked with so many industry sectors.

Executive Education at LCBS was nominated by several members of the community, then shortlisted by a panel of industry judges.

DMU was named as one of five Education Category semi-finalists in front of more than 50 dignitaries and industry guests at an awards night at the Chutney Ivy restaurant on June 19.

DMU now needs to submit a 300-word piece of supporting evidence to be in with a chance of winning the category prize.
