Welcome to De Montfort University's 24-hour #LoveInternational vigil. We'll be bringing you LIVE updates throughout the whole event, which starts at 12pm on Wednesday, running right the way through to midday on Thursday.

The event was personally called by DMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dominic Shellard after students and staff inundated him with messages showing a desire to act in response to recent political events in the US and elsewhere - events which had left many in the DMU community feeling worried and isolated.

A huge variety of talent and expertise across the university will be on display throughout the vigil, with music, poetry and drama performances, debates, talks and impassioned opinion. For the full programme, see here and keep watching our social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat for full coverage and reaction.
