As part of DMU’s continued commitment to sport, and in recognition of the important role it plays in enhancing the student experience, the new Vice-Chancellor’s Sports Scholarships will be available to full-time UK and EU undergraduate and postgraduate students starting in September 2016.
The 30 scholarships are designed to help talented students develop their performance and become a DMU Champion for sport, while competing at the highest level in the British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) and Varsity competitions.
At the same time, the sportsmen and women who are successful in applying for the scholarship will be able to study to gain a degree qualification in their chosen course and discipline.
The packages provide students with up to £6,000 including a £4,000 cash bursary and £2,000 towards sport-specific support, such as physiotherapy, strength and conditioning or private medical insurance.
