Following their dreams to study overseas, international art and design students celebrated their creations at a stunning end-of-year show.
Thrilled students from De Montfort University’s (DMU) Leicester International Pathway College (LIPC) exhibited their final projects as part of the college’s International Foundation Certificate (IFC) in Art and Design.
Greek student Peter Tatsis, will be joining the university’s Photography and Video BA in September and said: “I feel proud that I’ve accomplished one of my dreams, of completing my IFC."
His final project included two pieces, the first, London Noire, and the second, Empty Hands, Heavy Heart, on the ‘devastation about falling in love, the emptiness of love, caring about yourself when you’re in love’.
Peter added: “The best part has been having the chance to create my artwork on the course, being able to explore different artists through the lectures and to create art with deep meaning.
"I feel my IFC has helped me to develop myself and be well prepared for my degree, in art as well as in my English skills.”
LIPC opened in the summer of 2014, helping to prepare international students for entry onto DMU degree programmes.
