De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) has retained its position in the Complete University Guide following a dramatic 17-place rise last year.
DMU remains 54th in the annual league table - its highest-ever place in the influential rankings.
The Complete University Guide ranks 127 universities in the UK. It uses a number of measures including student satisfaction, research quality, investment in student facilities, staff/student ratio, the number of good honours degrees awarded and graduate prospects.
Today’s announcement comes on the back of a raft of recognition for DMU already this year. This includes:
· Being named the sixth fastest-growing university in the UK after figures from UCAS showed that more students than ever were choosing to study at DMU
· Signing a new partnership deal with Premier League table-toppers LCFC to offer students work placements at the King Power stadium and become the Foxes’ Official Higher Education Partner
· Entering the world university rankings for the first time after it was named in the Times Higher Education (THE)’s 150 Under 50 – a list of the best “young” universities on the planet.
· Moving 17 places up the annual Stonewall rankings of the best place to work and study for LBGT students and staff
With a growing reputation for academic excellence and superb student experience, today’s announcement by the CUG means students have more reason than ever before to say #ichoseDMU.
