She said: "The swim braces have taken off and been quite a show stopper in certain markets, and in other markets they do not perform as well. Generally a lot of people do love it, and so does Alesha. I thought she looked amazing.

"The nice thing about what we do is it's a product you can layer up.

"You don't necessarily need to run around in your undies - on one of the styles she has layered it as a feature."

For Nichole, a graduate of DMU’s world-renowned Contour Fashion course, Alesha Dixon just the latest in a long line of A-listers to wear designs from her luxury lingerie brand Nichole de Carle London.

Beyoncé took to the Grammy's stage in a bodysuit she’d designed early last year. Paloma Faith, Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole and Jessie J are just some of the other celebrities that have sported Nichole’s creations.

Nichole said having well known people wear her designs was "just a very exciting experience, especially when it is powerful, iconic, women".

She said the concept behind Alesha's music video was "about women having to have different responsibilities and wear different hats, and it is very empowering"

"That is why we are good match as a brand - we carry the same ethos," said Nichole.

"We are creating a brand for women to feel good about themselves.

"I think it is really important for us to dress iconic women."
