Teaching To Transform: Charting the journey of The Stephen Lawrence Research Centre’s racial literacy programme for Leicester educators

Inspired by the work of bell hooks, Teaching to Transform is the successful racial literacy programme developed and delivered by The Stephen Lawrence Research Centre (SLRC) at De Montfort University, inspiring educators to embrace anti-racist, social-justice oriented pedagogic practice in Leicester schools. The event will celebrate the city’s head teachers who have completed the SLRC’s racial literacy programme and will bring together academics, educators and professionals to hear from expert speakers in this area of work.

For senior educators, governors, policy advisors and inclusion leads.

This event is part of the Black History Month calendar.
