April – July 2023

Dr. Deepthi Bendi has been associated with the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut), India since 2018. After completing her undergraduate degree in Architecture in India, Dr. Bendi moved to the UK to pursue her postgraduate and doctoral studies at the University of Salford, Manchester. During her time in the UK, Deepthi was also a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA), where she supported undergraduate courses in Off-Site Construction technology and Construction Management. As a GTA, she gained valuable experience in designing and delivering lectures and contributing to an effective learning environment.   The academic and industry experience in Construction Management weaved her research interest in Off-Site Construction, Modern Methods of Construction, Construction Process Efficiency, IT in Construction, and Finance in the Built Environment.

Along with teaching and research, she is currently serving as the Vice chairperson (Internships) in the Centre for Career Development of NIT Calicut and Innovation Ambassador through the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell. Recently, Dr.Bendi is inducted to the Editorial Advisory Board of Construction Innovation- International journal by Emerald Publishing. In 2021 She was appointed as a working group member by the Kerala Planning Board to prepare the 14th Five-Year Plan 2022-2027 in the category Housing.
