Leicester Rising Stars is an event hosted by Leicester Startups, in partnership with the British Business Bank and Tech Nation. This will be an engaging and high-profile pitching event building on the success of Leicester Startups, over almost the last 10 years, in supporting the City's most exciting start-ups to scale-up.
Six, pre-supported entrepreneurs seeking investment will pitch to an expert panel and a room full of investors and the wider business community, at DMU's The Innovation Centre (recently announced as the region's first Barclays Eagle Lab).

Leicester Startups have also recently become the regional partner for Tech Nation, a national organisation supporting the UK's technology sector. At the end of the event, Tech Nation have agreed to announce the four regional businesses shortlisted under their Rising Stars programme.
This event will be held during the British Business Bank's inaugural 'Business Finance Week'.
Leicester Rising Stars represents an excellent opportunity for the City's start-up entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses to engage and interact with potential investors and the wider business community, as well as develop their pitching skills.

- 12:00 noon to 12:05pm - Introduction and welcome from Leicester Startups
- 12.05pm – 12.40pm – 3 pitches (5 minutes pitch followed by 5 minutes of feedback)
- 12.40pm – 1.00pm – Lunch break
- 1.00pm – 1.35pm – 3 pitches (5 minutes pitch followed by 5 minutes of feedback)
- 1.35pm – 2.00pm – Tech Nation introduction and announcement.
