This event is part of #DMUpride, to mark LGBTQ+ History Month
This panel event brings together LGBTQ+ researchers who currently work in a higher education institution or have recently left a HEI. The event will explore the experiences of LGBTQ+ researchers in ‘research cultures’ and the positive changes that can be identified. It will also discuss how Universities/HEIs/research organisations can continue their work on inclusivity within these spaces. Panellists will be invited to share their experiences and their thoughts on these topics as well as raise questions.

- Jodie Hannis – current PhD student at University of Leicester, studying archaeology (she/her)
- Astra Sword – current PhD student at Open University, studying Physics Education (she/her)
- Elizabeth Short – current MA student at NUA in Norwich, studying Sound and Moving Image (she/her)
- Carol Leeming MBE – DMU Lecturer Creative Industries, Multi-disciplinary Artist & Independent researcher
Places can be booked up to 1 hour before the start of the event. Registrants will receive a link to join the session 24 hours before the event.
