Alasdair Blair from De Montfort University will be joined by Michael Hindley, who is a former Member of the European Parliament.
Michael was a Member of the European Parliament from 1984 to 1999 and was Vice-President of the External Economic Affairs Committee. Subsequently he acted as an adviser on international trade and politics for the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Council of Europe. He is a now a freelance adviser and lecturer on European politics most recently at the Euroculture Centre, Gottingen University (Germany), Mangalore University (India) and the Technical University Tallinn (Estonia). His book on UK/EU relations “The Semi-detached European” will be published later in 2021 by Manipal Universal Press, India. Michael writes regularly on European and International Politics see
