In the last of our #BBBYouthWelfare series, we will be discussing “Levelling up”. The government has put “Levelling Up” at the centre stage of its policy agenda, but what does it mean? Can it lead to positive change for the many people who are left behind? Is there learning from the response to Covid 19 we can build on? Will it deliver a brighter future young people? This webinar will share the “bigger picture” thinking as well as practical examples of what community, business and council are doing locally and what more can be done. We have an excellent, panel of speakers, who bring a diverse range of experience and opinions and we look forward to a lively questions and answers session.
The session will be chaired by Kieran Breen, CEO of Leicestershire Cares, and guest speakers will be:
Gavin Rice Head of the Work and Welfare Policy Unit, Centre for Social Justice
Chris Hobson Director of Policy and External Affairs. East Midlands Chambers
Professor Rachel Granger Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University
Zamzam Yusuf Action Research Officer (Diversity and Inclusion) Leicestershire Cares
Frances Foley Deputy Director Compass
The emphasis of this series of webinars has been to encourage discussion amongst panellists and participants. The #BBBYouthWelfare webinar series is a partnership between De Montfort University through the Social Care Learning and Development Hub, Leicestershire Cares and the LLR Safeguarding Children Partnerships. If you care about how government, community and business can best work together so nobody is left behind then this is a must attend event.
This event is open to all and bookings will close 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Registrants will receive a link to join the online talk 24hrs before the event, via their provided email address.
