2021 "Chinese Bridge" online Group Exchange Program

UNIVERSITY INTRODUCTION

University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) was founded in 1952 and has developed into one of the most influential key national universities in China. Its main focus is on engineering, while maintaining a balanced program consisting of science, management, humanities, economics and law.

USTB is part of the 211 Project, which is designed to develop a hundred first rate universities in the 21st century. In 2006, USTB was selected as the “Platform for National Advanced Disciplines Innovation” program. In 2014, the “Collaborative Innovation Center of Steel Technology”, led by USTB and Northeastern University, was chosen to be part of the national “2011 Plan”. In 2017, USTB was selected as one of universities and colleges for the “Double-First Class” initiative, which aims to ultimately build a number of world-class universities and disciplines.

University of Science and Technology Beijing has a 67 years history of international students teaching, which has a profound foundation, strong educational and teaching strength. In 1995, the International Students Chinese Language Center was established, which is committed to the basic education of Chinese language. It has built a complete teaching and research section of Chinese language, a high-quality and stable teaching team, and accumulated rich teaching experience.

USTB offers a variety of Chinese training and short-term training. It has built Chinese exchange programs with many universities in the United States, Britain, Japan, South Korea and other countries, and has achieved fruitful results in cultural exchanges.

PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

USTB began to carry out online teaching since the spring semester of 2020. After nearly a year of online teaching practice, the online teaching mode has been mature. In the Autumn semester of 2021, USTB will launch a "Chinese Bridge" online Group Exchange Program, which will last two weeks and will be provided to international students interested in Chinese all over the world in the form of online webcast.

4.Chinese learning Certificate and transcript of USTB

HOMEWORK

During the two weeks learning, there will be 2-3 simple homework for students. Students can fulfill it by making short video, drawing, writing Chinese characters and other ways and submit them to course teachers.

SPECIAL NOTES

1.The location of students should have a good network infrastructure, which can meet the requirements of online learning;

2.Students should actively participate in the teaching activities contained in the program and complete the task on time.

3.Students must join the Contact group of USTB to carry out activities. We will notify each student after the registration is completed.
