'Nita's Archive' is a presentation by respected photographer, scholar, filmmaker and teacher Ellen Nolan as part of this year's Cultural Exchanges Festival. It opens up the fascinating archive of her great aunt Nita.
Nita Harvey was a British actress who went to America and became a starlet under contract to Paramount studios in the 1930s.
Ellen has recently come into possession of the archive - and it is unique and utterly fascinating, featuring scrap books, promotional photographs, test film footage and diaries collected by Nita over her career.
Ellen is currently working with resources within this one-off collection to produce a range of creative works and here will talk through some of those processes as well as showing us the precious items previously nestled in her great aunt's attic.
