Personal profile

I registered as a pharmacist in 1988 working within secondary care. I gained experience in several hospitals across the Midlands as a resident and within wider roles. Over the years I have gained experience within community pharmacy, prison healthcare, industry, a clinical commissioning group and provided freelance services to the Pharmaceutical Press. This has allowed me to appreciate the perspectives of pharmacists in a wide variety of professional roles.
I joined De Montfort University as a Senior Lecturer in 2016, having worked with the team in a supportive role since 2003 and now act as module leader for a number of modules within the postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy programme.
I am interested in the roles of pharmacists within multidisciplinary teams and the development of clinical practice within health education to support the extended roles and opportunities our profession currently embraces.
