Kelly initially joined De Montfort University as a student in 2005. After successfully completing her LLB Law degree and Legal Practice Course Kelly spent over five years in legal practice as a trainee solicitor and later as a qualified solicitor.
Whilst in practice Kelly specialised in civil litigation, with a particular interest in clinical negligence and personal injury work. Kelly returned to De Montfort University in 2015 as part of the teaching team.
