David Orton is a Principal Lecturer at De Montfort University with teaching expertise and research interests in the fields of strategic management, international management and crisis and business continuity management. His teaching spans more than 15 years and includes; undergraduate, postgraduate and a wide range of national and international corporate clients from both the public and private sector. David also holds visiting lecturer positions at a number of overseas Institutions and has taught widely across the globe. David is also the External Examiner in strategy and management at Coventry University.
Prior to joining De Montfort University, David built up considerable commercial and industrial experience with Lloyds Bank and the National Grid Company over a period of eight years.
