Personal profile

Alex is a multiple award-winning researcher, experienced lecturer and management trainer with extensive consultancy experience. He earned PhD and MPhil degrees in Human Resource Management (HRM) from University of Ghana; Bachelor of Business Administration degree (First Class) from University of Professional Studies – Accra; and Certificate in People Analytics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
He is Lecturer in HRM and Organisational Behaviour at De Montfort University-UK; and Associate Editor of Review of Business Management (RBGN) (Scopus/WoS indexed journal). He previously worked as Adjunct Research Supervisor at Coventry University-UK/Ghana Communication Technology University; Adjunct Lecturer/Management Trainer at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration; and Ad-hoc Consultant at the Executive Development Center (UGBS-ED) of University of Ghana Business School.

He is recipient of Best Paper Awards from several prestigious organisations including Emerald Publishing Limited; Wiley & Sons; Sage Publications Limited/FIIB Business Review; Academy of International Business, African Academy of Business and Development, and University of Ghana Business School. He was also a Valedictorian.

He has consulted for several institutions in Ghana including The Trust Hospital; Volta River Authority; University of Ghana Hospital; Okyeman Environment Foundation; Ghana Tourism Authority; University of Ghana School of Law; Women Entrepreneurs Rise Network of Ghana Enterprises Agency; and Office of Institutional Advancement of University of Ghana.

His research interests are in the intersection of work, HRM and sustainability, specifically, talent management, sustainable HRM, sustainable/decent work, CSR strategy, wellbeing, and grand societal challenges. Alex published in several reputable journals like Journal of Management & Organization; International Journal of Manpower; Society and Business Review; International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship; Anatolia; and European Journal of Training and Development; and presented in top international and national conferences.
