Personal profile

Will Baker joined the Faculty of Arts Design and Humanities having worked in Higher Education and professional theatre for 15 years.

Prior to coming to De Montfort University, Will was a Faculty Performance Technician and Sessional Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge teaching Technical Theatre and production skills, additionally providing production and design support to student and staff projects As well as working in Higher Education, Will has variously worked in West End and regional theatre and comedy venues as a stage manager, technical manager and designer.

Research interests/expertise

Digital performance and New Media. Interactive projection design. Sensor controlled performance. Experimental performance technology.

Areas of teaching

Technical Production Skills. Performance Lighting and Projection. Stage and Production Management. Theatre audio design and engineering. Interactive Performance Control.
