Check out the latest opportunities for you to go #DMUglobal

Summer may seem a long way off as we contend with the latest Arctic blast, but #DMUglobal has just announced another range of fantastic opportunities for De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) students to study round the world from this April.

Peru

There are volunteering opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students

There are trips to explore cultural differences in Taiwan for Psychology students, Law masterclasses in Ghana and post-grad students studying banking, accounting or finance can tour the financial centres of New York.

In total, the new batch offers more than 40 academic-led trips taking place from April to August. There are also volunteering opportunities in Peru and, for the first time, Vietnam, as well as openings to spend a year studying abroad at one of DMU’s partner universities in Europe and North America.

An incredible variety of experiences and countries have been put together by #DMUglobal, the university’s pioneering scheme which brings to life students’ classroom learning and enriches their personal experiences while at university.

Chicago

Chicago is among the world famous cities students can apply to visit

Both undergraduate and post graduate students can look through the upcoming opportunities, start the application process, and find all the information they’ll need to prepare for their study adventure.

Owen Sheridan, #DMUglobal Senior Officer, said: “As thousands of students have already testified, a #DMUglobal trip is a truly life-enhancing experience. DMU is dedicated to developing new and exciting ways to study which develop key skills valued by employers and #DMUglobal is certainly helping students achieve this.”

Bangkok

Engineering and Physics students can apply to visit Bangkok

Other opportunities include Engineering and Physics students looking at sustainable development in Bangkok, Thailand, Finance and Accounting students studying banking in Chicago, Forensic Science students learning about the fields of forensic genetics and toxicology in Sweden, and Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science student attending a three day course with experts in the University of Trieste, in Italy.

#DMUglobal is also working with partners International Volunteering HQ, a world leading volunteer travel organisation, to offer trips open to all undergraduate and post graduate students to Lima, Peru and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to work on medical, childcare, English teaching and construction projects.

The deadline for applications to go on any of the 40-plus academic-led trips is Monday 19 February. For more information on who can apply and how to make an application visit www.dmuglobal.com/application-process/
