The footballer became an internet sensation in 2016, when he competed in a set of video challenges with his Leicester teammates as they went on to lift the title in England’s top flight.

The partnership will offer a wealth of opportunities for students from a variety of courses enhancing their employability opportunities.

Fashion students will be given an amazing opportunity to develop designs for the brand, with a lucky winner having their work released into the #NoFuchsGiven clothing range while students also create a social media campaign around the competition.

Also as part of the deal with Christian, there will be a fashion show promoting his brand incorporated into one of DMU’s January graduation ceremonies at TheVenue@DMU.

The ceremony on Wednesday 25 January will be followed by the inaugural re-opening of the refurbished Campus Centre, home to De Montfort Student’s Union (DSU), where Christian will cut the ribbon and be given a tour of the new facility.

“Christian is an important ally for us and hopefully students from a variety of courses will get something worthwhile out of the exciting initiatives we will be launching as a result of this relationship.

“The fashion show and opening of our new Campus Centre are just the beginning of what is going to be an exciting partnership with a Premier League footballer we’ve all come to know so well in recent months.”

Over the last week students and have had an opportunity to enter a competition to win one of 100 of Christian's #NoFuchsGiven t-shirts. The competition which closes today (Friday) will see winners having a unique opportunity to collect their prize from Fuchs himself at a special event.

Game Art students posed for photos in freezing temperatures and heavy snow to promote the competition and brand on the recent #DMUglobal landmark trip to New York.
