Research areas
DMU's outstanding track record in 'real world' research is one of our core strengths, and is testament to the passion, professionalism, ambition, and dedication of colleagues across the institution.
Home to more than 60 specialist research groups and institutes which are actively engaged in hundreds of projects, DMU applies its research to the benefit of businesses and communities by delivering tangible improvements to healthcare, society, and individuals' lives.
Projects range from the creation of an artificial pancreas to improve the lives of diabetics, to the Wattbox, an automated heating control system to reduce energy consumption in homes.
