University is about more than lectures and assignments. At DMU, you can also explore the world through DMU Global.
DMU Global is De Montfort University’s international experience programme. It gives students the chance to travel abroad, experience new cultures and build skills for their future careers.
Funding is available for all participants, helping more students access international opportunities.
DMU Global offers a mix of international experiences. You could take part in the following types of opportunities:
Short term overseas trips
Each academic year, we offer various short-term academic and extra-curricular experiences abroad. These include academic trips, employability-focused experiences, summer schools and volunteering.
Study abroad
In cooperation with our global network of university partners, you have the opportunity to study on exchange in Asia, Europe or North America for a year as part of your degree.
On-campus and virtual experiences
We also offer internationally themed experiences that don’t require travel! These include language learning on campus as well as bespoke courses and enriching cultural activities.
So far, DMU students have visited more than 74 countries.
