Medical Scientist

Ever wondered what does a medical Scientist does? Medical scientists  design and conduct studies to investigate human diseases, and methods to prevent and treat them, which in turn is aimed at improving overall human health.  This research-led course is ideal for careers in the medical and healthcare professions or laboratory science.  Many of our graduates have pursued careers in scientific research, teaching and medical writing, and upon completion you can also choose to progress to graduate entry medicine and dentistry courses. If you have an enquiring mind, are good at solving scientific problems and want to work with cutting-edge equipment and facilities, then this could be the course for you. You can choose to specialise in either chemistry (connected to crimes against property, such as burglary and arson), biology (connected to crimes against people, such as murder, assault or rape) or drugs and toxicology.
