Archery at DMU offers a welcoming environment for complete novices and experienced archers alike, focusing on precision, safety, and consistent technique.

Did you know: Archery is an entirely equipment-provided sport at the casual level, so you don't need your own bow to start hitting the target!

DMUactive - Free, fun, recreational sport

  • Free for all students with all equipment provided.

  • Casual, drop-in target practice sessions in a relaxed setting.

  • Includes target face challenges and fun mini-games.

DMUlearn2 - Learn a new sport

  • Free coached beginner courses covering safety fundamentals, draw technique, aiming, and scoring rounds across term-time blocks.

  • One session runs every teaching block,

DMUteam - Train, compete & represent the university

  • Train, compete, and represent DMU at regional meets, national BUCS indoor/outdoor championships and Varsity.

  • Coaching available for both novice and experienced archer categories.

  • Access to regular range training times and Strength & Conditioning (S&C) support.
