Studying Humanities at DMU is about exploring, interpreting and enjoying different aspects of culture and we're proud to have created a flexible, supportive learning community where you're always encouraged to be intellectually ambitious and creative.

We strive to build what employers need: work-ready graduates with professional experience and industry awareness. Our students benefit from internships and placements and opportunities such as DMU Global. Our Humanities students benefit from a range of guest speakers - who have recently included award-winning writers, poets and film makers Benjamin Zephaniah, Iain Sinclair and Geraldine Monk.

DMU is proud to be recognised as a university ranked Gold under the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). The award is a recognition of the consistently outstanding teaching and learning on offer at DMU and the extraordinary impact that it has on our students.
